not everyone wants to know how they did it |
I confess that I did battle with the idea of publishing these secrets. I asked permission from the surviving Piddington family and they gave me their blessing. Still I was unsure. I visited and asked advice from Davenports Magic in London and from Misdirections in San Francisco, both said I should publish, but only for Magicians, NOT the general public. The famous James Randi then said, "Methods shared often come back much improved" and that tipped my decision. I went ahead and wrote the book.
However, I do understand and appreciate that many have enjoyed the mystery of the Piddingtons and wish to keep the magic magical, thus I completely understand why you may not want to know and I value your decision. Martin T Hart |
